Chemical & Hazardous Materials Safety
Leldon King, Chemical Hygiene and Hazardous Materials Management,
received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma. He has more than twenty years' experience as a consulting chemical engineer, specializing in water quality. He has worked on projects for governments and industries in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He came to Arkansas in 1988 to work as a safety consultant for the National Center for Toxicological Research before coming to Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas. He is knowledgeable and experienced in the interpretation of and compliance with a wide variety of standards and recommendations set by regulatory agencies, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
